Top 10 questions to ask a Wedding Photographer:
Have you shot a wedding at my location before?
Good question to ask because each venue has locations that offer better backgrounds, softer lighting, and areas where the scenery can be incorporated into the image. Part of my job as a Professional Photographer is to look around each venue and suggest the best locations to shoot.
What time will you begin and how long will you stay until?
This is outlined in the agreement beforehand. Typically, I begin shooting 1 hour prior to the ceremony and shoot well into the reception. Of course, each wedding is unique and we discuss your time line beforehand.
Do you have telephoto and wide-angle lenses?
I have all of the above. The telephoto allows me to shoot farther away. This tends to produce more candid results. The wide angle is very popular is wedding photography today and is great for incorporating the scene into each image.
Can you work from a photo checklist that we create?
Absolutely. I encourage you to provide any requested shots but the list is not necessary.
Do you have backup equipment?
I carry 2 or 3 camera bodies and flash units in the event that there is an equipment failure, I always have the back up.
What style of photography do you shoot?
Traditional, Photojournalistic, Candid or a blend of all. Any image can be made into a black and white image which is very popular right now.
What is included in my package?
This is outlined in the agreement. In most cases, all images on a cd and a personalized online photo gallery which I have posted within 48 hours of the event because I know the bride and groom are all excited about viewing them.
Do you work well with the other vendors? i.e.: coordinators, caterers, videographers?
Yes, we all coordinate and make the wedding run as smoothly as can be.
Do we get to keep our digital images?
Yes, you do!
How long does it take to have our images posted to our personalized online photo gallery?
48 hours.
